Little about me

I have been an advertising professional for almost fourteen years and I hail from one of the north eastern Seven Sisters state called Assam. At present, I stay in Bangalore with my husband and our only son.

How I started the blog

I have always been a foodie but I was never a cook. However, by the virtue of staying away from home owing to higher studies and job, I have learnt the basics of cooking to survive. But hello, that was just the basic. I could not enjoy the real essence of cooking, until I understood what was holding me back.

Whenever I was preparing lunch or dinner, I always had the urge to explore something new. However, some part of my mind was blocked and it used to limit my possibilities. I somehow had the notion that the food we eat outside cannot be prepared at home or there is something special about my mom, my grand moms and aunts that they could cook well. I could only cook the bare minimum.

But, as I kept exploring and started spending more time in kitchen, I gradually realized the possibilities and understood that only two things stop us from preparing delicious food – our own thoughts and our laziness.  Almost all the foods that we see across and we eat across are not made from any aliens that is found only on Mars 😬, but are made from the vegetables, fruits, grains etc. that we grow on our own earth and that they are available very close to where we live or shall I say available in our own house.

Thus, I have started this blog to share my journey into the world of possibilities and my journey into the world of cooking, from a regular chore to something close to meditation. Also, all my effort will be worthwhile if it becomes a reason for someone to actually step into the kitchen and cook atleast one meal for himself/herself.

What can you expect from this blog

Hence, this blog is meant for everyone who loves and lives to eat. Through this blog I am sharing the tried, tested and tasted dishes which we generally order or we give up on having or we make a plan to eat outside without realizing that yummy dishes can be prepared at home with our very own everyday ingredients.

The recipes included in the blog are mainly from my own imagination, followed by the dishes that I have tried or encountered, probably once or multiple times, somehow sometime in life and fell in love with the same.

Needless to say, every recipe included in this blog has been thoroughly tested through strict taste parameter and the family health-o-meter which includes me, my husband and our son.

So, without wasting any more time let’s get going, and create our masterpieces in our little heaven called kitchen.

I will be extremely glad if you try any of the recipes from the blog and even more delighted if you have any suggestions or queries related to the recipe. Please leave your feedback in the comment section.

Please Note: If you are undergoing any treatment or if you are under any dietary restrictions, please consult your dietician before trying any recipes included in the blog.
